Every year, my brother-in-law Tyler makes a video for each of his children for their birthday. I always thought that was a great idea, so I wanted to do the same thing for Megan. I started working on her one year video months before she turned one, but amidst moving to Iowa, computer issues, trips out of town, and other things; I was unable to finish her video by her first birthday. After she turned one, I had less and less motivation to work on it.
I didn’t want that to happen this year. I am determined to get her 2nd year video finished by her birthday. I decided, however, to complete the video I started for her first birthday before I began number two.
Megan turns 2 in 3 weeks, and for sure I will have her 2nd video ready to be posted on her birthday. Her first video is complete and I am going to post it for your viewing pleasure. It is a little shorter than her second video will be, but at least I was able to capture some of the highlights from her first year of life. Oh and P.S., Tyler’s videos are WAY better than mine. He is a professional, after all. Me, I can’t get the timing right to save my life. Ah well, I hope you enjoy watching my little girl change throughout the first year of her life

I’m was planning on using the Dixie chicks song to make a video for Lilah and then Eden.
My girls loved watching it and Lilah, my five year old, thinks Iowa is a far away country.

I loved it. I think it captured her first year really really well. I got the idea to make birthday videos off of another one of my friends blogs, so I am working on stella’s now too. I also was thinking of using the dixie chicks song. Very funny. My favorite part was when she is first born. I don’t have video of stella right after she was born because andy was taking pictures, and even that was overwhelming because he just wanted to stare at her – so my next baby…I am going to make sure we get some because megans was precious! Oh yeah… I am due around Jan 29th. Just barely pregnant, but you know…I can’t keep news that exciting in.
So Cute – wish I could have them for my kids – but I don’t know where to start! Can’t wait to watch number 2.
