Right before Megan turned two years old, she began attempting to recite the alphabet – backwards. A couple of weeks ago, she was sitting on Adam’s lap at the computer, and she typed out the entire thing from Z to A.
Now she has it down pat, and it’s almost effortless. Occasionally she gets stuck and has to get back on track, but she has no problem starting with Z and working her way to A. Adam caught this on video this morning:
(note: I published the video in “double time” because it was about seven minutes long. So while she is quick, she is not as quick as she looks here!)
OH MY GOSH !!!! YOu have a genius on your hands. Hope you can handle it!! I am truly amazed.
At least my son can sing on pitch. I’M KIDDING! Don’t write hate mail to me now. That’s amazing. Bradley loved it. I asked him if wanted to do it on the fridge and he said yes and got his shoes and asked to go to Iowa.
i love watching it in double time! she is one smart girl!
This will come in handy if she ever gets pulled over. Which, probably will happen pretty soon. After all, she is advanced for her age, and I am pretty sure that Iowa law states that you must purchase a tractor for your child when they can say the alphabet. How else do they deal with all the crops?
Wow… how did you get her to walk around the fridge so fast? Mom keeps saying, “Isn’t that amazing?!”… I keep telling her that you just sped it up on the computer… I don’t get it… What’s so amazing?
That’s pretty impressive…I’d have to think about it to say it backwards! Haha!
We want to reply but am truly speechless. We know and you know, that she knows! Grandma and Grandpa Jo

i’m impressed…..but I always knew girls were smarter than boys!
