This Summer, we try to go to the park at least once a week, usually more. After experiencing my first Iowa winter, I promised that I would let Megan enjoy the outdoors as much as possible while the weather was good.
We try to mix things up and go to different parks. There are so many parks here in Ames. They are all huge and beautiful. I have been to the park where we took these pictures only once before with Megan, and it was over a year ago – before Megan was even walking. Adam has since taken her a couple of times.
So when Megan wanted to go down the biggest slide in history (okay, maybe not) I was a little wary. I said, “has she done that slide before?!” and Adam was like “only like 100 times…” Still I held my breath and watched as my tiny little baby made her way up and then down. Needless to say, she loved it every time.
We went to another area in the same park where there were some other children playing. Megan loved the giant fish steps. She also loved to “drive” the “car”.
I don’t know what we are going to do when the weather turns cold again. Megan is really going to miss going to the park.

The only parks we can go to are the ones with water! But, luckily we love those. Looks like Megan has fun.
I wish our parks were as cool as that one and clean.
We have the water stuff at parks, but my girls hate getting water in their eyes, so they could care less about the water stuff.
