This poem reminds me of President Bednar’s most recent metaphor: individual strokes of a painting contribute to an overall masterpiece. Both light and dark strokes are needed to provide contrast and dimension. You seem to be experiencing more than your share of dark strokes, but I have no doubt that you are becoming a masterpiece.

I just read your post and my heart breaks for you. I, too, lost a baby at about 10 weeks. The emptiness takes a long time to fade (like you need to be told that). Even though I have a baby to hold, I still think about the baby that I never held. My prayers are with you.
