Fourth of July Vacation

Standard

We had such a fun Fourth of July holiday in Las Vegas. It was SO HOT. I am sure it hit at least 120 while we were there and the weather service put out excessive heat warnings several days in a row. We spent much of the weekend in the pool, either at Brother Joe’s house or Grandma and Grandpa Johanson’s.

We also got to meet our newest nephew, Leo Johanson (son of Adam’s brother Josh and his wife Alyssa.) He is so cute! I tricked everyone into going swimming while I sat out with the new baby. I LOVE babies.

One day I took a few children and snuck away to the Discovery Children’s Museum. The children all love the museum. Big thanks to Sarah for letting us use her pass.

Tad took a few groups out the lake to enjoy his boat. Megan and Adam had a great time.

We had quite a large group for fourth of July fireworks. It was a great show out in front of Sarah and Anthony’s house.

The biggest and best part of fourth of july weekend was Megan’s baptism. I wrote a separate post about that special event: here.

We were also able to attend Leo’s baby blessing before heading back to Utah. It was so sweet and we were so glad to be there. He is such a sweetheart.

Unfortunately Alec was sick pretty much the entire weekend. Which meant I didn’t get much sleep and we were both exhausted. We had a great holiday, however, and as always we are so thankful to all the family members who go out of there way to show us a good time.
